Homescapes Brings Home the Gold Award for Promotion, August 14, 2004, NYC
as many of you know, Homescapes, Carmel was nominated for an award from Gifts and Decorative Accessories Magazine and the awards ceremony was held last night at the world-famous Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. We flew here steeling ourselves for whatever way this awards thing went but basically we all felt we were lucky to even have been nominated, so no matter what happened we would be happy with the outcome. (I know, I know, everyone says that but heck ,we're in New York City, what more can you ask for?) Besides, Crate and Barrel was one of the award winners and we're just some little guys from Carmel.
The city itself was sweating; everything seemed to be drenched and we were about to embark on five hours with a roomful of people we didn’t know so we were all pretty nervous about the whole thing.
