Spring Open House
Homescapes, Carmel celebrates good weather with good friends, May 25

Thank you for joining Homescapes Carmel for our annual Spring Open House on Friday, May 25th, 2007. Guitarist Reid King performed beautifully as usual, servin' up lovely tunes for our arts-savvy community...
New work by local artists was introduced, including the acrylic abstracts of Christina Miles, a new series, "Athletes" by Patricia Reed and new images from photographers Michael Paris and Alejandra Diaz-Aguado.
The vault gallery featured the work of Dottie Cichon from her series "Urban Entomology." Ms. Cichon has photographed scientific specimen butterflies, moths and other iinsects against a background of urban debris to emphasize the strange juxtaposition of beauty and destruction and the difficulty in tell them apart.

The whole team turned out to wash a line-up of cars. And everyone on Macall's OTHER team, The Homescapers, ponied up to the donation jar and got our cars buffed and shined as well.
When I first pulled into our lot, though, I have to admit to a moment of apprehension. read more...
